Artificial dynamical effects in quantum field theory

چکیده
In Newtonian mechanics, studying a system in non-Galilean reference frame can lead to inertial pseudoforces appearing, such as the centrifugal force that seems arise dynamics analysed rotating frame. Likewise, artificial effects may relativistic quantum field theory (QFT) if is studied framework violates Poincaré invariance. this Perspective, we highlight how issues complicate traditional canonical quantization of QFTs and subjective description natural phenomena. By contrast, treatment same problem using light-front free from spurious pseudoeffects because invariance effectively preserved for all practical intents purposes. We illustrate these statements several examples: Gerasimov–Drell–Hearn (GDH) relation, fundamental feature QFT; absence any measurable impact Lorentz contraction high-energy collisions; fictitious character vacuum fluctuation contributions cosmological constant. The standard Hamiltonian approach invariance, leading predictions with dynamical potentially obscuring physical system. This Perspective explains are avoided by quantization.

Dynamical mean-field theory for quantum chemistry.
The dynamical mean-field concept of approximating an unsolvable many-body problem in terms of the solution of an auxiliary quantum impurity problem, introduced to study bulk materials with a continuous energy spectrum, is here extended to molecules, i.e., finite systems with a discrete energy spectrum. The application to small clusters of hydrogen atoms yields ground state energies which are co...
متن کاملDynamical renormalization group approach to relaxation in quantum field theory
The real time evolution and relaxation of expectation values of quantum fields and of quantum states are computed as initial value problems by implementing the dynamical renormalization group (DRG). Linear response is invoked to set up the renormalized initial value problem to study the dynamics of the expectation value of quantum fields. The perturbative solution of the equations of motion for...
متن کاملGlobal effects in quaternionic quantum field theory
We present some striking global consequences of a model quaternionic quantum field theory which is locally complex. We show how making the quaternionic structure a dynamical quantity naturally leads to the prediction of cosmic strings and non-baryonic hot dark matter candidates. متن کاملSome Boundary Effects in Quantum Field Theory *
We have constructed a quantum field theory in a finite box, with periodic boundary conditions, using the hypothesis that particles living in a finite box are created and/or annihilated by the creation and/or annihilation operators, respectively, of a quantum harmonic oscillator on a circle. An expression for the effective coupling constant is obtained showing explicitly its dependence on the di...
متن کاملDynamical mean-field theory from a quantum chemical perspective.
We investigate the dynamical mean-field theory (DMFT) from a quantum chemical perspective. Dynamical mean-field theory offers a formalism to extend quantum chemical methods for finite systems to infinite periodic problems within a local correlation approximation. In addition, quantum chemical techniques can be used to construct new ab initio Hamiltonians and impurity solvers for DMFT. Here, we ...
